What is Plantsy?

Plantsy is an AI plant identifier and plant care companion for iPhone. Identify plants from photos, explore botanical information, organize your garden, set care reminders, and ask an AI plant assistant for guidance.

How do I identify a plant?

Take a clear photo in Plantsy or select one from your photo library. Keep one plant in focus, use good lighting, and include a leaf or flower when possible. Plantsy analyzes the photo and offers a possible identification and plant information.

Can Plantsy help with an unhealthy plant?

Yes. Plant health checks help you explore visible symptoms, possible causes, and suggested care steps. AI results can be incorrect or incomplete. Consult a qualified expert for serious problems, and never use the app to decide whether a plant or mushroom is safe to eat.

Can I set watering and other care reminders?

Yes. Create individual tasks for watering, misting, feeding, pruning, and other care activities. Choose a date, time, and repeat schedule. Allow notifications on your iPhone to receive reminders.

Do I need an internet connection?

An internet connection is needed for AI identification, health checks, assistant replies, weather updates, and syncing your garden. These features process information through cloud services.

Can I use Plantsy without a subscription?

Plantsy offers free and premium access. The app shows available features, usage limits, subscription prices, and any trial before you buy. Some AI features require available credits or a premium plan. Optional credit purchases are separate from a subscription.

How do I cancel my Plantsy subscription?

Manage your App Store subscription through Apple. Deleting Plantsy, clearing data, or deleting your Plantsy account does not cancel it. Follow these steps to stop renewal:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Select Plantsy.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation prompts. You may need to scroll down to find the button.
How do I cancel a free trial before I’m charged?

If your offer includes a free trial, cancel it through iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Plantsy. Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Check the trial end date and renewal price in Apple’s subscription screen. Removing the app or deleting your account does not stop renewal.

What if Plantsy is missing or there is no Cancel button?

Check the Apple Account shown on your purchase receipt and use that account to manage the subscription. If Apple shows an expiration date and no Cancel button, it is already canceled. If you still cannot locate it, contact Apple Support for help with billing.

What happens after I cancel?

Cancellation stops future automatic renewal. Your remaining access and expiration date are shown in Apple’s subscription settings; check them before confirming, especially for a trial. Cancellation does not delete your garden or account and does not automatically refund a previous charge. If you want a refund, submit a separate request to Apple.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store refunds and decides whether a purchase is eligible. To submit a request:

  1. Open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
  2. Choose Request a refund from the I’d like to menu.
  3. Select a reason, choose Next, select the Plantsy purchase, then submit your request.
How do I delete my data or account?

Open Plantsy Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete Account and confirm to permanently delete your account and its saved cloud content. Clear Data in the same area removes saved content while keeping your account. The app shows deletion progress and lets you retry if it fails. Uninstalling the app does not delete cloud account data. Neither action cancels your Apple subscription; cancel it separately through Apple. Contact support if you need help with a privacy request.
